Scholarship Details:
- Scholarship Type: Undergraduate
- Eligibility:
- Must be a resident of Arkansas.
- Restricted to students studying in Arkansas.
- Must be an undergraduate student.
- Must attend a university, four-year college, two-year college, or vocational-technical school.
- Must study full-time.
- Must not currently be attending high school.
- Must be a dependent of an Arkansas veteran or U.S. Armed Service member.
- Must qualify as a spouse or dependent child of an Arkansas resident veteran declared:
- Missing in action.
- Killed in action.
- A prisoner of war.
- Killed on ordnance delivery.
- 100% totally and permanently disabled due to or during active service.
- Renewable: Yes.

- Death certificate or documentation certifying the veteran’s death.
- Documentation from the Department of Veterans Affairs citing service-connected disability.
- Copy of the application and acceptance or denial statement of the federal program for dependents of veterans (DEA).
- DEA benefits statement.
- Copy of legal adoption or guardianship documents.
- Birth certificate.
- Marriage license.
- Completed application form.
Description:
The Arkansas Military Dependents Scholarship provides financial assistance to students pursuing a bachelor’s degree or a certificate of completion at any public or private college, university, or technical school. This opportunity is specifically for the biological child, legally adopted child, or stepchild of an Arkansas veteran. Spouses of eligible veterans may also apply, but remarriage disqualifies spouses. Veterans must meet specific conditions related to their military service.
